Who controls your data
This website trades as Roof Repairs Croydon. It is owned and operated by IGEN MEDIA LTD, company number 14525127, registered office Dorset House, 5 Church Street, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 1JH. IGEN MEDIA LTD is the data controller for information submitted through this site.
When you ask for a survey or a quote, your enquiry is passed to the roofing company that carries out the work. That company acts as a separate data controller for the purposes of quoting for and carrying out roofing work, and you will be told who they are before any agreement is made.
What we collect
Through the enquiry forms on this site we collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your telephone number;
- the service you have selected, and any detail you add;
- the page the enquiry was sent from.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
How we use it
Solely to respond to your enquiry: to contact you, arrange a survey, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out and guarantee the work. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with unrelated third parties, and we do not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry.
Legal basis
For responding to an enquiry, our legal basis is legitimate interests - you have asked us to get in touch and it is reasonable for us to do so. Once you engage us for work, the basis becomes performance of a contract. Where we keep records to support a guarantee, the basis is again legitimate interests together with our legal obligations.
Who your information is shared with
- Web3Forms, which processes the form submission and delivers it to us by email. Their privacy terms are published at web3forms.com.
- The roofing contractor who surveys, quotes for and carries out the work.
- Our email provider, which stores the message in the ordinary course.
We do not transfer your data outside the UK or the EEA for any other purpose.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within 12 months. Where work is carried out, we keep the record for the duration of the workmanship guarantee plus a further period to cover any claim arising from it, because a guarantee cannot be honoured without a record of the job.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to erase your data where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- ask for your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where consent was the basis for processing.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we have the chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to respond to you and to carry out the work.
